Principle Consultant - Change Management

Anchored in the science-practitioner model, Alyssa Hwang integrates theory and acumen into research, consultation and training.  With a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, she has an advanced and unique skillset that blends her clinical and research background with the corporate environment and brings a fresh and scientifically-based perspective to change management.  

The people aspect of change has been at the core of all Alyssa’s work – from understanding the impact of change to anticipating resistance then strategizing and implementing plans to achieve success at both the individual and corporate level.  She is adept at building relationships at all levels of an organization, identifying potential gaps and areas for improvement, and developing solutions.  Within her role of change management, Alyssa enjoys driving employee engagement to help people embrace, adopt, and effectively work in the evolving landscape of health systems.

Alyssa has long-standing experience within the healthcare industry, beginning as a researcher for clinical trials at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.  She has worked directly with inpatient and outpatient medical teams as a member of the Psychology Consult Liaison practice at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and has completed assessment administration and interpretation in a variety of settings within the Parkland Health and Hospital System over the course of several years.   For the past seven years, Alyssa has continued to work closely with hospital senior leaders, physicians, and nursing professionals with an emphasis on strategizing and coaching in her role as a consultant.

Alyssa has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.  She is a published author and has been regularly invited to speak at annual conferences nationwide.
